If You Measure It – You can Change It

Leviosa measure it“I really really need to lose 6 kg’s” … That's a sentence I never thought I'd say in my life.

I always believed my years of eating-like-a-gluttonous-pig would never catch up with me. As the old saying goes, time and tide (and visceral fat) wait for no-one.

I realized that I had a "weight problem" about a year ago. So, like everyone who wants to lose weight, I decided to start running (sigh). After a short period of time, I realised that working out led to more hunger, and somehow I rationalized that I had earned it, so I grazed even more. Looking in the mirror it was apparent that I wasn’t getting anywhere with that idea !

Then one day, I met an old colleague from Leviosa Consulting at a business event. After a coffee our small talk moved onto the subject of weigh gain. My Leviosa colleague just said seven words; “Measure it and You will Improve it”. That message resonated in my head for the rest of the day until in the evening, on my way home from a long day, I popped into my local shop and picked up some digital weighing scales.

The following morning, I started. I weighed myself and recorded my weight on a chart I drew on a sheet of A4 paper. I read somewhere that weight loss happens in kitchen, and that you cannot outrun a bad diet, so I hung the chart on the fridge door in the kitchen.

Every day I repeated the weighing measurement. By placing the record in a visible place, and next to the food source, I found I was able to regulate my input-source. I then added a little moderate exercise, and suddenly found that my weigh started to fly off !

Leviosa consultants apply this same principle to create business improvement. Give us a call to find out more.

"There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know.
There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know.
But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know"
